Mike Pickett took over the reins of St Johns Country Day varsity girl's soccer program in 1998. In 28 seasons, he has amassed a 565-70-41 record including 22 consecutive District championships, 21 Region championships, 21 State Final Four appearances, and 17 State Finals. The team has 15 FHSAA State Championships and 2 State Runner-up finishes, ranking them as the all time winningest soccer program in Florida history. They own the record for most consecutive state titles with 11, and most consecutive FHSAA playoff wins with 59. The program has finished 9 seasons with top ten national rankings, with three number one finishes in 2017, 2018, and 2021. The program had a national record 84 game unbeaten streak that spanned over four seasons. Mike has coached 4 Florida Gatorade State Players of the Year, 4 Miss Soccer Dairy Farmers Players of the Year and 12 Florida Times Union Players of the Year. Mike was inducted into the St Johns Country Day Hall of Fame in 2007, winning 2 State Championships as a player and 2 as a coach at the time of his induction. He has been named State Coach of the Year 22 times in his career and was inducted into the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2023. He ranks 21st in the nation all time in wins according to MAXPREPS. His program ranks #5 all time in the nation with 15 State Championships. His wife, Treasure, played in two NCAA Final Fours in her college basketball career and his daughter, Carson, is in her 11th year as a professional soccer player for the Denver Summit.
