The Defense Acquisition Professionals – Jacksonville (DAPA) was originally founded as the Defense Acquisition University Alumni Association (DAU AA – Jacksonville) which was founded in 2005. The name changed in January 2002 in order to serve the broader contracting industry.
DAPA will continue to honor the long history of DAU AA Jacksonville’s history of supporting scholarships to local high school seniors. DAUAA-Jax awarded over $78,000 in scholarships during its inception. The drive behind the scholarship program was Mrs. Elizabeth Nealin who is on the DAUAA Jax Board of Directors. The purpose and goal is to invest in high school graduates with the goal of improving the Future Workforce.
