Join us as Vice Mayor of Green Cove Springs, Matt Johnson, presents the latest information on the City of Green Cove Springs and the visioning plans for the downtown area.
Colonel Matt Johnson retired from active service with the Florida Army National Guard in August 2018, after 32 years of military service. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His last duty assignment was Commander, Camp Blanding Joint Training Center.
He currently serves as Headmaster, St. Johns Classical Academy in Fleming Island. He is Vice Mayor, Green Cove Springs, as well as President of the Camp Blanding Museum. Additionally, he and his family are very involved with service through Hibernia Baptist Church.
Colonel Johnson and his wife Dawn reside in Green Cove Springs. They have three grown children, Mackenzie, Madeline, and Grant, who is in his second year at West Point.
