Commissioner Mike Cella will be updating us on Gateway to Clay and the College Drive Initiative to improve the county.

Gateway to Clay - Wells Road is the corridor many travel through when entering Clay County, the Gateway to Clay. Residents and visitors should have a great first impression and want to make Wells Road, and the rest of the county, their travel, entertainment, and dining destination.

College Drive Initiative - Community leaders note the distinctive quality of College Drive as home to several nonprofit organizations, residential neighborhoods and commercial enterprises. Could College Drive become more than a thoroughfare? Would it be possible to create a “main street vibe?” What if College Drive became a destination for enjoyment as well as a locale for human care and post-secondary education?

He has successfully owned and operated Jumperz Fun Center, in Orange Park, serving thousands of Clay County citizens from 2009 to 2017. Prior to opening his business, Mike enjoyed a 30-year career in radio and TV broadcasting, concluding his career at WOKV Radio in Jacksonville where he hosted the Morning Show and served as the Assistant Program Director.

Mike is very active in his community, serving as a member of Fleming Island Lions Club, the Rotary Club of Northeast Florida, and the Clay County Chamber of Commerce. He is past president and co-founder of the BIZNET Marketing Referral Group of Orange Park. He is actively involved with the Clay County Republican Party, serving as Committeeman for Precinct 410, President of the Republican Men's Club, and a member of the South Clay Republican Club.
