Dr. James Toldi, DO and Dr. Kimberly Carney, DVM will share on Lincoln Memorial University - Orange Park's Community Education and Educational Partnerships and how these partnerships with local free health clinics and hospitals, animal shelters, and 4H/FAA and their plan to engage high school students.


 Dr. James Toldi is the Inaugural Campus Dean for Lincoln Memorial – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine Orange Park, FL Campus. He is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL. Dr. Toldi is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine, having completed his residency and fellowship through Florida State University College of Medicine and the University of New Mexico, respectively. Dr. Toldi’s medical career has been rooted in education and program building. He is honored to have twice served as the Founding Program Director for 2 different Sports Medicine Fellowships: first at the University of South Alabama and then at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL.  Dr. Toldi’s educational drive led him to become the Assistant Dean of Clinical Education and Assessment at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL and from there to his current role with LMU-DCOM’s campus in Orange Park, FL.Dr. Toldi’s clinical and research interests include sports-related concussions and pediatric overuse injuries. He serves on several national committees and regularly presents at regional and national conferences.


Dr. Kimberly Carney is the founding Dean of the Lincoln Memorial University–College of Veterinary Medicine at Orange Park (LMU-OPCVM). A veterinarian and higher-education leader, she previously served as Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Admissions and as Program Director and Principal Researcher at LMU’s Center for Animal and Human Health in Appalachia, following service in Bolivia focused on veterinary education and rural development and 13 years as owner of a mixed-animal veterinary practice in Tennessee. Dr. Carney holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (University of Georgia) and a Master of Public Health (East Tennessee State University), and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine as well as a Certified Health Education Specialist. Guided by a core commitment to community engagement, her research and leadership advance One Health—integrating human, animal, and environmental health—while strengthening professional wellbeing and the sustainability of the veterinary workforce.
