Description

Erica Smith is a passionate advocate, speaker, and the Founder & President of Hope Is Restored, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and restoring children from the devastating grip of human trafficking and exploitation. With over a decade of ministry experience as a youth pastor, Erica brings a unique blend of compassion, leadership, and faith to everything she does. She holds a degree in Christian Counseling with a focus on trauma support, equipping her to walk alongside survivors and community members in their journey toward healing. Under her leadership, Hope Is Restored has launched awareness campaigns, volunteer programs, and community initiatives that have educated thousands of individuals and mobilized them to protect and support the most vulnerable. In 2025 alone, Erica and her team have rescued three missing children in Clay County, a testament to her tireless dedication to protecting those at risk. She also developed a comprehensive human trafficking curriculum designed to teach people of all ages about the realities of exploitation and provide practical tools to safeguard their loved ones. Erica has undergone specialized training with the Association for the Recovery of Children (ARC) to engage in recovery operations, while also equipping volunteers, churches, and communities to stand boldly against modern-day slavery. She is currently leading the movement to open a Drop-In Center for trafficked children, a safe place where young survivors can find healing, support, and hope for a new beginning. Her heart for justice and unwavering faith inspire her to empower others—especially women—to rise above challenges, discover their voice, and embrace their God-given purpose. Whether in the pulpit, at conferences, or through grassroots outreach, Erica speaks life, hope, and courage into those she serves.
