Annie Grogan is a successful human resources and economic development professional. She began her career years as a commissioned U.S. Army Officer and served 10 years of active-duty service working in Logistics roles. She is well known in Jacksonville, FL for her work as President and CEO of The Hispanic Institute for Life and Leadership (The H.I.L.L.), of Northeast FL, Inc. A workforce and professional development 501(c)3 focused on the First Coast’s Latino labor force.
After her military career Annie embarked on a 22-year career in Human Resources Management in top Fortune 500 companies such as Fannie Mae, Pepsi Cola, Best Buy and Coach, Inc. Her past roles included HR Manager, HR Regional Director, Corporate Recruiter, International Recruiter and Enterprise Project Manager, for Diversity Recruiting Initiatives.
In her recent career years, Annie’s roles have focused on local economic development working with nonprofits and government agencies supporting northern Florida. As a Business Consultant for the Small Business Development Center, she supported Clay and Baker counties. As Marketing and Outreach Specialist for the North Florida SBA she supported all Northern Florida. In those roles she provided direct business consulting and education on small business concepts, programs, and resources.
Among her community distinctions, she is a 2015 JBJ Woman of Influence; and a 2016 Leadership Jacksonville alum. She has served as board member to First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, North Florida March of Dimes, Volunteers in Medicine, and Jax Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
