Olympic medalist Shannon Miller shares how the gold medal mindset leads to victory on the competition floor, in the boardroom, and in our personal lives. She'll share her own cancer survival journey, and how she used lessons learned through her Olympic training to forge ahead during her most challenging obstacles. You'll leave empowered with a positive understanding of what it takes to be a successful leader in both work and life.
About Shannon Miller
One of the most decorated gymnasts in history, Shannon Miller led the “Magnificent Seven” to a historic gold medal win in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Winning seven Olympic medals - two gold, two silver and three bronze- she remains one of the most decorated gymnasts in the sport’s history.
After retiring from Olympic competition, Shannon received her undergraduate degrees in marketing and entrepreneurship from the University of Houston, and a law degree from Boston College.
In 2011, she applied her winning attitude to beat a rare form of ovarian cancer. Her inspirational memoir, It’s Not About Perfect: Competing for My Country and Fighting for My Life, was written to encourage and empower individuals to break through and overcome their personal challenges.
